Do you accept all insurance claims? 

Yes, in addition to ICBC claims, we accept insurance claims from ALL private insurers, including: 

  • Canadian Direct
  • Family
  • Royal & SunAlliance (RSA) 
  • Intact
  • AXA
  • BCAA

Please bring your insurance papers and other documents provided to you by your insurance company when you come to see us. Some private insurance companies will steer you toward certain repair facilities. It is important to note that even with private insurance, you are free to choose where to have your vehicle repaired. Simply tell your insurer that you want Courtney Collision to repair your vehicle.

My vehicle has been damaged in an accident, what do I do now? 

Unless you know for certain that you are going to pay for the damage yourself, it is best to contact your insurance company first, even if you are unsure about who will pay for the damage. If the damage is your fault, or partially your fault, you can always decide to pay for it yourself later without using your insurance coverage and your premiums will be unaffected. You can reach ICBC's Dial-a-Claim number 24/7 at 1-800-910-4222. You can find more information on the process by visiting ICBC's website. If you have private insurance in addition to basic ICBC coverage, you should contact your insurance provider. Once you have spoken to ICBC or your private insurance provider and obtained a claim number, come see us for an estimate.

What do I do if my vehicle is unsafe drive after an accident?

Sometimes it is obvious that a vehicle cannot or should not be driven, other times less so -- perhaps the headlights are damaged or a door will not close securely -- either way, you should discuss any concerns with your insurance company. If your insurance company determines that your vehicle needs to be towed, it will be covered as part of the claim to be paid by either your insurance company or the other driver's insurance company. Once there is approval to have the vehicle towed, we can arrange for the pick-up and transfer of your vehicle to our location.

Do you provide a written guarantee or warranty on your work? 

Yes, all of our work is guaranteed for as long as you own your vehicle. If you are ever dissatisfied with the quality of your repair, let us know right away and we will work with you to make it right.

Do you provide loaner or courtesy cars? 

Yes, for repairs expected to take more than one day will we provide you with one of our courtesy cars or will arrange for a rental car for you to use. For smaller repairs expected to be completed the same day, we will give you a ride or provide taxi transportation.

Do you provide free estimates without an appointment? 

Written estimates are always free and appointments are not required. We do suggest you phone ahead at (250) 897-1322 to let us know what time you expect to arrive. This will minimize the wait for you and help us respond to you quickly upon your arrival. Unhappy with another shop's written estimate?
